My name is Lisa Haas and I'm a self taught artist. I come from a family with many artistic people on both my mother's and my father's side. My Mother was a self taught artist and some of my most fond memories was to watch her paint. I can still picture it, she in her over sized paint shirt, sitting on the stool painting away; the smell of oil paint, turpentine and cigarette smoke (ugh) lingering in our home and the sound of the radio playing in the background. (btw: My home is smoke free.) I become very involved in my work and often you'll see me with a fist full of brushes and as much paint on my clothing as on my canvas from wiping my brushes on my pants. My painting jeans are very colorful and quite a sight. My husband claims they alone are a work of art! My work includes: 1. Landscapes, animals, florals and portraits in oils.
2. Landscapes and abstracts in acrylics.
3. Mixed media and collage work.
